Krittika is the Director of International Student, Scholar & Internship Services and has been working at Richmond for over six years.  She assists international students and scholars with immigration, employment, health insurance, cultural, practical and academic matters.  She also manages summer internship programs overseas.

Krittika's interest in the international field began at an early age.  As a Thai-American growing up in Virginia Beach, she appreciated the challenges and rewards of being a part of two cultures.  After she graduated from Wesleyan University, she taught English in Thailand at a technical college and a refugee camp.  After returning to the United States, she went to New York University for a Master's degree in international education to add an academic perspective to her overseas experience.  Part of her coursework involved studying Thai culture and Buddhism as an exchange student in Thailand at one of Richmond's partner institutions, Thammasat University.  After graduate school, she moved to San Francisco, where she worked as a program coordinator for cross-cultural non-profit organizations.  Krittika is conversationally fluent in Thai.

In her free time, Krittika likes yoga, running, experiencing Richmond's many culinary delights and visiting New York City.
