Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university to study abroad. When reviewing applications for approval, disciplinary records will be taken into consideration and students must be cleared by the Dean’s office to study abroad. Students on conduct probation will not be able to study abroad if they are on conduct probation that does not expire prior to the start date of the semester abroad program.

|Important Notes for Spanish majors:
Students are required to take 5 courses per semester at Blas Pascal. Most courses are 60 Blas Pascal credit hours.
To determine the unit value of Blas Pascal course, the following formula will be used by the University of Richmond Registrar's office: The number of Blas Pascal contact hours/70, round up to nearest tenth of a unit. Most courses are 60 hours total. A 60-hour course will translate as .9 units.

Select plan de estudios from the bottom left menu. There will be a list of courses by year and semester. UR students can take courses in any year as long as they have the prerequisites. Richmond students are placed with Argentine families or can live in a residence hall on campus. The cost of housing includes 3 meals per day and weekly laundry. Shared kitchens are available in the residence halls and each room is provided with a microwave oven. Click here for more information about the residence hall.
Students who meet the deadline for all forms are guaranteed housing.

U.S. citizens: semester and year long students will enter Argentina on a tourist visa and then apply for the student visa once they get to Argentina.
The government of Argentina used to charge a reciprocity fee for all U.S. citizens entering Argentina. However, this fee has been revoked for U.S. citizens. For any future updates regarding reciprocity fees, please refer to http://www.embassyofargentina.us/en/consular-section/reciprocity-fee-for-us-citizens.html.
Non U.S. citizens may need to obtain a student visa in the U.S. or in their home country. Contact the Argentine consulate directly for more information.
